Wa'ad - Hove tutor

Information About Wa'ad:

Personal Description:

Hi! I'm Wa'ad (rhymes with Chad) I was a Maths teacher for 3 years working across Secondary schools in Brighton & Hove until recently.

I'm passionate about repairing people's relationship to Maths - unfortunately a lot of us weren't affirmed in this learning journey so I make sure to lead by centering confidence with a calm and encouraging approach where we understand why it is the case rather than blindly and panickedly memorising.

I'm available most evenings and weekend, happy to work around whatever works for you

Teaching Experience:

Supply teacher, Maths teacher at Longhill, Hove Park, and Patcham.

Tutoring Approach:

Dependant on the child and level but as a general we first identify major problem topics from past tests, classwork etc. We'll go through topics one by one, either reteaching them or revising them using online recourses and then eventually introduce mixed topic past paper questions and work on exam technique.
