Personal Description:
I am a teacher with over 20 years' experience in education, including classroom teaching, learning support, principal teacher and headteacher roles.
I love teaching and know that my tutoring journey will lead to me sharing my passion for teaching with others and finding ways to open up learners to success and achievement.
Teaching Experience:
I was an early childhood practitioner for 7 years before becoming a class teacher. During that time I taught preschoolers the skills to help them as they embarked their primary school years.
I was a class teacher for 6 years across all stages of primary school. I then gained a promoted post as a principal teacher and carried out this role for 6 years, developing my leadership and management skills while continuing to teach before I took on a headteacher role for 14 months. I am now a supply teacher and cover for schools who need me on a short term basis.
Tutoring Approach:
I have a lot of experience teaching learners with additional support needs, I provide supportive, engaging tuition tailored to each child's individual needs. Every child learns differently. My aim is to make learning positive, achievable and enjoyable, helping children recognise their strengths and build confidence along the way. My sessions are engaging, fun and help develop growth mindset.
