Lily - Oxford tutor

Information About Lily:

Personal Description:

I am an education professional with a BA (Hons) in Child and Youth Studies and several years of experience working with children and young people in educational settings. I have worked across primary and secondary education, including mainstream and SEND/SEMH environments, and have experience supporting a wide range of learning needs and abilities.

Teaching Experience:

My experience includes one-to-one literacy tutoring, classroom teaching and support, lesson planning and delivery, and academic support. I have worked with students from ages 4-18, including learners with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning and additional needs. I have also adapted learning materials and teaching strategies to suit individual students.

Tutoring Approach:

I take a structured and student-focused approach to tutoring. I begin by identifying what the student already understands and where they need additional support, then build sessions around their specific goals. I explain concepts clearly, break more challenging material into manageable steps, and use practical examples and activities to reinforce learning. Progress is reviewed regularly so sessions remain focused and effective.
