Samuel - Luton tutor
Information About Samuel:
Personal Description:
I was born, raised and educated in Connecticut. I have endless interests: cinema, story telling, acting, art, athletics, poetry, music, reading, writing and foreign languages. But of course, my one true passion is history - learning about it through several different mediums like books, documentaries and podcasts - researching it and teaching it to others. I have traveled extensively. I have been to Europe on several occasions, I have been to several states, Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands and I spent thirteen nights in Israel. My traveling has introduced me to several different kinds of histories, different peoples and their cultures, which in turn has helped me in the classroom due to my ability to show empathy and also show interest and respect for other cultures and backgrounds other than my own.Through my interests and experiences I realized early on in my adult life that I wanted to be a social studies teacher. I quickly formed my teaching philosophy and realized there is no better way to improve my own country and the world than education. I quickly developed a strong belief that education is a seed to a plant, that plant being a happy, successful and thriving community both locally and globally.
