Personal Description:

I am an experienced History teacher with extensive classroom experience teaching students across KS3 and GCSE. I currently teach Edexcel GCSE History and have a strong understanding of the specification, assessment objectives, and exam requirements.

I offer support across a range of Edexcel GCSE History topics, including Medicine Through Time, The Cold War, Weimar and Nazi Germany, Crime and Punishment, Elizabethan England, Henry VIII and his Ministers, and the American West. I can also provide support for KS3 History, helping students build a strong foundation in historical knowledge and skills.

Teaching Experience:

I have over three years of classroom teaching experience and have worked with a wide range of students across KS3 and GCSE History. As a practising classroom teacher, I have extensive experience planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and adapting my teaching to meet the needs of different learners.

I have worked closely with GCSE students throughout their courses, supporting them with content knowledge, exam preparation, revision strategies, source analysis, and extended historical writing. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the common challenges students face and the most effective ways to help them overcome these barriers.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that every student can succeed with the right support and encouragement. My lessons are tailored to individual needs, whether students are looking to improve their understanding of key topics, develop effective revision strategies, strengthen exam technique, or boost their overall confidence in History.
