Personal Description:
I am a full time tutor specialising in Economics & Maths, with over 6 years formal experience within education.
I also have over 10 years experience in tutoring and now makes up my full time job.
I am also PGCE certified
My personal interests include Japanese Culture, Basketball, Travel & Anime.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked in schools in the UK as well as Sweden, covering GCSE/A-Level/IB courses in my specialised subjects.
In addition to this, I have been working as a Full Time Tutor since June 2024. This has allowed me to build up a strong repertoire of resources and services to offer to my students in sessions and for further study beyond our time together.
Tutoring Approach:
For Maths, I adopt a "Quality of Life" approach which emphasises a clear structure which can be transferrable to as much of the syllabus as possible.
This is inspired by Japanese aesthetics which focus on visualising to a point where you don't need to know the language to understand what is being told.
In this way, this allows more time to properly cover the syllabus content and to also create a plan to more effectively challenge trickier questions that appear later in the paper.
In Economics, I have a strong preference to use Case Studies that go beyond what students are familiar with. These could be items that they are attracted to or others in their class. This can also be what they see in their local area and major developments to show economic policy in action.
