Personal Description:

I am a dedicated and passionate Maths teacher based in Enfield, with a strong track record of helping students build confidence and achieve their potential. I specialise in supporting students making the crucial transition from GCSE to A-Level Maths, ensuring they develop both the skills and mindset needed to succeed. I am committed to creating a supportive, structured environment where students feel challenged, capable, and motivated.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified secondary Maths teacher with over 12 years' experience teaching across a range of school settings, including state, grammar, and independent schools. I have taught both GCSE and IGCSE courses, giving me a strong understanding of different specifications and how to prepare students effectively for each.

I have extensive experience supporting students in the transition to A-Level Maths, as well as helping students secure top GCSE grades. As a former examiner, I have a clear insight into exam expectations, mark schemes, and common pitfalls, which I use to help students maximise marks and develop strong exam technique.

Having worked with a wide range of learners, I am able to quickly identify gaps in understanding and provide targeted support to ensure students build secure foundations and achieve their full potential.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and results-driven. I focus on strengthening core GCSE knowledge while introducing key A' Level concepts early, so students feel prepared rather than overwhelmed. Sessions are interactive and tailored to each student with a strong emphasis on exam technique and problem solving skills.

For in-person sessions, I create a focused and distraction free learning environment with clear explanations and guided practice.
For online sessions, I use digital tools to make lessons engaging and efficient, with shared working, instant feedback and resources students can revisit at any time.

Across both formats, my goal is simple: build confidence, close gaps, and set students up to thrive at GCSE and A' Level.
