Personal Description:

My name is Hannah, and I am an online tutor specialising in Maths offering support to students from primary school through to GCSE level (KS2-GCSE). I have experience with AQA and Edexcel exam boards.

I am passionate about helping students understand these subjects in a way that makes them both accessible and enjoyable. My goal is to build students' confidence and improve their problem-solving skills, ensuring they not only achieve better grades but also develop a genuine interest in the subjects. I tailor my lessons to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I believe in creating a positive and engaging learning environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring topics at their own pace. By using interactive methods and real-world examples, I strive to make each lesson both informative and inspiring.

Teaching Experience:

I've been tutoring since 2018, a few months after I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Initially, tutoring was something I did on and off to fill the time between jobs. As I settled into my career, I realized I had a strong passion for teaching, particularly in mathematics. While I had the technical background of engineering, I found that my ability to break down complex concepts and make them more understandable was something I truly enjoyed. Over time, this passion grew into a full-fledged commitment to private tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style is centred around creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable and confident in their learning journey. I believe that each student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to suit their individual needs, learning styles, and pace. Whether a student needs more visual aids, hands-on practice, or step-by-step explanations, I adapt my lessons to ensure they truly understand the material.
