Personal Description:

As a highly enthusiastic biology lecturer, I bring a wealth of expertise to the classroom. With a PhD in Applied Science (Cell Cancer Biology) and several years of teaching experience, including previous work as a Lecturer of Biology at colleges in the UK, I am committed to inspiring students to achieve their academic goals. I possess extensive knowledge of biology and academic skills. My passion for teaching and my ability to connect with students make me an ideal candidate for a challenging role where I can utilise my skills to help students excel.

Teaching Experience:

Over the past decade, I have taught a range of subjects, including biological sciences and academic skills, in both traditional classrooms and online. I have worked with undergraduate and college-level students at multiple institutions in the UK, including Leeds Beckett University, Dixon Academy College, Manchester College, Sheffield College and Elmergib University in Libya. At these institutions, I taught biology modules and project skills to students at various levels, delivering lectures, supervising laboratory, assisting with literacy and numeracy, and developing course materials, with an emphasis on engagement and student-centred learning.

Tutoring Approach:

Besides traditional teaching, I have developed strong skills in online and blended learning. I am confident with platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard and Canvas, and I frequently use Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet to deliver engaging online sessions. For example, during the shift to remote learning, I designed classes with interactive elements such as live polls, breakout rooms and captioned recordings, to preserve student engagement and accessibility. Moreover, I use digital tools such as Turnitin and EndNote to support students in their academic writing and research.
