Personal Description:
I was born in South Africa, spent 18 years in Australia, and then relocated to England in 2024. English is my first language, and I also speak Afrikaans and a bit of Dutch. I am a big fan of films and I enjoy reading and languages, especially teaching English, and it is very rewarding to see students reaching their goals, especially as part of their career development.
Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified ESL and TESOL teacher with 12 years' experience in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
I have a BA as well as an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature. I gained my CELTA/ESL qualification in 2008 in Perth, Australia.

Tutoring Approach:
I use a customised approach: this is a combination of personalised attention, instructional feedback, as well as support tailored to each student's individual needs. My teaching is structured to teach important points to prepare for examinations and assessments, including feedback and setting targets to achieve student goals. Depending on what you need, I can structure lessons to include quizzes and activities to track comprehension.
