Elizabeth - Tring tutor

Information About Elizabeth:

Personal Description:

I am a retired teacher with a wide experience of teaching in different institutions to both adults and children. Since retiring from full-time teaching I have remained committed to education and have done some supply work and individual student mentoring as well as invigilation for public examinations at a local school and teaching English to Ukrainian refugees.
I am passionate about lifelong learning and am a member of the U3A, where I attend a variety of meetings as well as running a German group once a month. I have a wide variety of extra-curricular interests including music, sport, travel and transport, animal rights and welfare issues and walking with my beloved dogs.

Teaching Experience:

I have a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate from Goldsmiths' College, London. Since then I have worked in several schools and colleges teaching German, French and ESOL.
In the past I have home tutored in languages and general subjects as well as teaching German via Zoom.
I have experience of teaching German and French at exam level and enjoying the success of my students.

Tutoring Approach:

I have taught French and German up to A Level in schools and have done some home-tutoring in the past. I aim to engage my pupils in a communicative approach tailored to their needs and I like to make sessions fun with tips on how to achieve their goals, whether they be learning for fun or working towards exam success. I can offer my subjects from beginner level to A Level to adults or children.
