Personal Description:

I am a highly experienced and enthusiastic Secondary School English teacher with 17 years of experience.
I am Deputy Director or English at a local boys' comprehensive school and have held this post for over 10 years. As part of my role I help design the curriculum and the assessments.
I specialise in 11-16 teaching of English Language and English Literature and I am an experienced Examination marker for AQA.



Teaching Experience:

2.1 degree in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh.
A Masters degree in Education from the University of Manchester.
Completion of the Teach First Graduate training Programme.
Qualified Teacher Status
17 years experience as an English teacher.



Tutoring Approach:

Very relaxed and friendly.
We would spend time getting to grips with areas of strength and areas that needed to be focused on.
A collaborative approach and also I'd share many wagolls (what a good one looks like)
I am available on selected weeknights and Thursday/Friday during the day.
