Personal Description:
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic secondary English teacher with a deep-rooted passion for learning, education and helping students to excel. I have experience in tutoring English at all levels and have a keen understanding of how to adapt lessons to the unique strengths of all students. My Personalised approach ensures that every student is engaged, motivated and on the path to reaching their full potential.
Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified teacher of English and earned a first-class honours degree in English Literature from the University of Exeter. I am an avid reader and love to continuously learn myself, an attribute I seek to instil in all of my students.
Tutoring Approach:
Throughout my career, I have successfully tutored students across all educational stages:
- Primary: Building foundational literacy skills, fostering a love for reading and writing and preparing or entrance exams.
- Key Stage 3: Enhancing comprehension and analysis, grammar, and creative writing abilities.
- GCSE: Preparing students for exam success, focusing on exam techniques and textual analysis.
- A level/IB: Guiding students through complex literary texts, critical theories, and coursework preparation. Preparing students for applications to university.
