Personal Description:

I am a PhD-qualified Accounting teacher and Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) with over 20 years of teaching experience across higher education and private tuition.

I have extensive knowledge and experience of Accounting curriculum and assessment requirements. I have helped numerous students, including those with no prior background in Accounting, develop a strong understanding of the subject, improve their examination technique, and achieve excellent examination results.

Teaching Experience:

I am passionate about teaching and have worked in the profession for over 20 years. I have extensive knowledge and experience of Accounting curriculum requirements and examination preparation.

I have supported a wide range of students, including those with no prior Accounting background, helping them understand key Accounting concepts, build confidence in the subject, improve their examination technique, and achieve strong examination results.

My most recent tutoring success involved helping a student with no previous Accounting background achieve an A grade in the 2026 SQA Higher Accounting examination, a qualification broadly comparable to AS-Level Accounting in England.

I hold a current DBS certificate and can provide references upon request.
