Personal Description:

**Experienced GCSE and A Level Maths and Physics tutor**. I currently study physics as undergraduate at Imperial College London and throughly enjoy the subjects I tutor. My passion for each subject shows through my tutoring and further engages the student. I specialise in tutoring Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-Level (and equivalent SQA National 5 and Higher levels). I achieved A band 1s in these subjects between 2019-2021 up to and including Scottish Advanced Higher Level (A-level equivalent), so I know what is required to get great results!

Teaching Experience:

I have a great understanding of the courses I tutor, having previously run group study sessions, before making the switch to online tutoring over a year ago. I have tutored students of all abilities, tailoring the lesson to the individual, helping them improve their confidence and grades in the subjects.
My university studies enable me to offer valuable insights to eager students, helping them understand how the content they are studying fits into the wider world.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe the best way of learning is one that is engaging and enjoyable. Lessons consist of engaging discussions with the student of the underlying theory of each topic, to help fully understand it. At the beginning of each lesson, I like to link back to previously covered material through 'warm-up questions' which reinforces the student's learning. We then work through problems, with the student progressively becoming more independent.
Each lesson is flexible to adapt to the student's needs to ensure they get the most out of the time.

Qualifications:

• Currently in 2nd year of MSci Physics at Imperial College London
• SQA Advanced Highers : Maths, Physics, Maths of Mechanics (Grades: 3x A band 1)
• SQA Highers x5 (Grades : 5x A band 1)
• SQA National 5 x7 (Grades: 7x A band 1)
