Aamna - Heckmondwike tutor
Information About Aamna:
Personal Description:
My name is Aamna. I am a qualified tutor who has tutored students for many years. I love my job as I believe that teachers have the capability to help and change students lives. Tutors work more specifically with these student to help them to meet their full potential. After Covid-19, there has been a large setback in most schools, this is why tutoring has become even more important now than before.
In just the past 3 years, I have helped over 60 students to improve 2/3 grades for their GCSEs. My methods have been proven successful for over 10 years. With weekly homework and exam-style questions, the lessons are catered to focus and meet the individual needs.
Teaching Experience:
An experienced teacher and tutor with a degree in education.
As a tutor, teacher and governess, I have a wide range of experience. Head of department in schools.
For over either years, I have successfully tutored English, biology, chemistry, and physics in addition to mathematics.
In both my classroom and exam preparation classes, I plan lessons carefully to help students reach their potential. Reaching head of department at a young age, I have spent many years running tutoring sessions after schools and on the weekends to help children to meet the needs and nerves of upcoming exams.
In addition to my BA honours degree, I also hold a Qualified Teacher status (QTS) from Durham University.
Before the session begins, I take time assessing, and understanding the student that I will be tutoring. This is vital, specifically when tutoring one to one.
When I am tutoring, I have a very disciplined approach, alongside a very productive approach. With the right mix, it is very easy to see instant results in the student`s progress.
I am flexible with the timing, however every lesson does need to be planned and prepared beforehand so please take that into consideration.
If I am travelling to your house there will be an additional charge per session.
A full DBS and references are available on request.
Durham University - Education QTS with Mathematics Specialism [Outstanding].
I went on to complete further training specialising in English in 2015
Tutoring Approach:
Each student is carefully assessed during the initial lesson.
