Personal Description:

I am friendly and energetic student interested in pursuing a career in Finance after I finish studying Mathematics and Statistics at Durham university. I have over 300 hours of tutoring experience teaching maths one-to-one to 7 GCSE students.

Teaching Experience:

I established my own Maths tutoring business, building a network of GCSE students. I developed tutoring resources, monitored my students' progress, identified areas needing improvements, and prepared students for exams. I maintained records of each tutoring session, helped students improve their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, whilst also giving praise and assurance to boost student's self- confidence and self-esteem. I have over 300 hours of tutoring experience teaching maths to 7 GCSE students.

Tutoring Approach:

I start from the easier topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more difficult areas as their confidence and understanding builds. I teach with questions and examples and every week will spend the first 10 mins of the lesson covering last weeks material to ensure they are understanding. I will give students weekly homework, repeating the questions from the lesson, to ensure they don't forget and to deepen their understanding.

Qualifications:

• 3 A*s at A Level in Maths, further maths and English
• GCSE grades: Maths 9 Further Maths 9 English Language 9 English Literature 9 Spanish 9 Geography 9 Religious Studies 9 Combined Science 9-8 Media 9 Music 8
• Currently studying a Maths and Statistics degree
