Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Sean. I am a fully qualified Business Studies teacher who offers tutoring in the following areas:

- Business Studies (GCSE, BTEC and A-Level)
- History (Key Stages 3 and 4)
- Religious Studies (Key Stages 3 and 4)
- Mathematics (Key Stages 3 and 4)

I have been teaching since August 2022, after obtaining a PGCE with Merit from Liverpool Hope University in July 2022.

Teaching Experience:

After working in various grammar schools across Northern Ireland over the past academic year, I have experience across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in teaching GCSE, A Level and BTEC Business. I have also taught History up to GCSE level under the CCEA curriculum, as well as Mathematics and Religious Studies.

I also have experience working in specialist SEN environments where I have provided specialist support to students with ASD, ADHD, SEBD, as well as those who are visually and and hearing impaired. Prior to this I was also a classroom assistant for two years where I first developed my experience in providing 1-to-1 specialist support to post-primary pupils across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

It is my passion to help students progress academically and achieve their targets by providing specialist, tailored support which attends to their individual needs.

Tutoring Approach:

I find from my experience that pupils learn better from indiviuals that they respect, and by building a rapport in order to help them progress. I feel that my approachable, open and easy-going style of providing support helps students in doing so.

Within my subjects, I like to relate to examples, as well as focusing on key areas such as strengthening exam technique, timing, structure of exam responses and building on core fundamental knowledge of the different topics involved in the curriculum.

• Business Management Undergraduate - Hons (2:1)
