Information About Sarah:


Personal Description:

I am a friendly, approachable person who has great communication skills and loves working with young people. I studied French at University and studied in Rouen , France at the Ecole Supérieure de commerce. I also worked in France for Coca Cola. I have taught French to GCSE level for many years and also tutored some GCSE students one-to-one.



Teaching Experience:

I have taught French to GCSE level for the last 20 years in a secondary school in the UK. Every year I have taught and supported students through the rigours of the GCSE requirements. I have also been the Head of the Foreign Languages Department which has meant that I needed to be very clear on the expectations for students with regard to success at GCSE.



Tutoring Approach:

I like to boost confidence by gradually stretching students responses making them more complex and enabling them to gain more marks at GCSE. A mix of the 4 skills required; speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Alternatively if a student has a specific need then I like to focus on this before moving on to other challenging exam areas.
