Personal Description:
Hello, I am currently a third year university student studying Mechanical Engineering (on track to be getting a first by the end of my degree). I have always had a keen interest in maths and teaching other about it. This interest has stemmed from a child always wanting to learn more about maths and how it works as well as helping my peers too. Now that I am comfortable in my ability I would like to extend the help I can offer to more than just to friends and family. This is sokehting i want to do as i am currently considering a career in teaching.
Teaching Experience:
Although I have not had any formal teaching experience I have heled family and family friends with there maths GCSEs and SATs. I have helped kids sit there higher maths paper and get high grades. I have also helped students who have learning difficulties such as dyscalculia and helped them achieve their personal target grade in GCSEs.
Tutoring Approach:
When it comes to tutoring I tailor each session to the students needs. i do this by seeing what areas need improving and help develop them. I focus heavily on exam technique and work from there as this allows me to break down each section topic by topic and can work form the begging to get the best results. I also am happy to set extra work for the student to do in there own time and am happy to mark it in my own time, ready to go over in our sessions to ensure we can achieve the best results in the time frame we have
