Personal Description:

I am a currently going into my second year of study at the University of Cambridge within a BA Economics course. I have finished my high school in 2020 with a 9.81 average in the Romanian Baccalaureate, ranking in the top 1.3% of the 2020 class of Romania. Given my strong background in Mathematics - 96.5% on my final year exams and my performance when it comes to Economics - ranking 9th at the National Olympiad of Economics, I am confident I can help you with any difficulties you might have when it come to either subject. I am equally happy to help you go from a D to an A and to simply help you find your passion for these subjects.

Teaching Experience:

I was a debate trainer at my high school in Romania for two years, helping students 14 and above to improve both their theoretical and practical skills. I designed lessons and researched games and motions in order to provide a full teaching experience. Moreover, I provided feedback to the students after the games and offered additional resources for them to improve their knowledge. I have also tutored some of my younger high school friends in Mathematics and Economics informally.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a patient person and I believe that the most important aspect of Economics is to understand the mechanisms behind each model intuitively first. Afterwards, I will help you further enhance your knowledge through the mathematical derivation necessary. I am completely open to all questions during sessions and would love to accommodate any special learning requirement you might have as best as I can.
I will create PowerPoint presentations to go over the topics which will contain both questions and exercises and will also provide homework sheets if requested.

Qualifications:

• 9.81 out of 10 average in the Romanian Baccalaureate, with 10, 9.65 and 9.8 in Romanian, Maths and Physics respectively
