Personal Description:

Being a part-time enthusiastic and professional Maths tutor, I have had many years of tutoring experience. I am currently studying Actuarial Science with Mathematics at the University of Southampton and was an IB student before I graduated from high school. After experiencing the whole IB process, I am confident that I am able to provide suitable assistance to students and help them to overcome the academic challenges that they are facing.



Teaching Experience:

Tutored Mathematics for over 6 years



Tutoring Approach:

I will first identify the learner's current developmental level then apply the appropriate strategies and practical approaches to improve their understanding of Mathematics. With ongoing tutoring support and home learning materials, I believe these would enable my learners to reinforce their prior knowledge and develop fundamental skills and concepts. In addition, regular assessments are used to track and monitor the learner's progress, as well as enabling me to adjust my teaching style and technicality of my lessons to take into account of individual differences.
For a more able learner, I would set higher targets and challenges for them to exceed their current level.
Regardless of an individual's Mathematics capabilities, I believe every child has an underlying potential waiting to be explored and developed. As a Maths tutor, it is my role to motivate, guide, and assist my learners to ensure they develop their understanding and interest in Mathematics.
