Information About Frankie:


Personal Description:

I am a teaching assistant with extensive training in autism, mental health support, trauma support and adhd. I am also an actor and producer with experience in teaching and training actors. I can use makaton sign, although not fluently I can use what I know with confidence.



Teaching Experience:

I have worked in schools for the last 3 years as a tutor/teaching assistant. However, as my work is in special needs schools, teachers will give any work for students to TA's and we will tutor our 1-1 student to avoid any sensory overload. Students I work with are aged between 11-16 and all have different abilities, as some work at primary school age. I tutor all subjects, but specialise in English (mostly reading, writing and speaking skills) and drama (character building, confidence building, writing small scripts and creating characters).
At my previous school I would run lunch time a club teaching drama and also a reading club.
I am also in the process of applying for and completing a diploma in teaching.



Tutoring Approach:

I will always take a friendly approach while tutoring, but I know where to set boundaries without coming across too strict and stern. I am very passionate about both of my subjects, so I am extremely happy to be able to share my knowledge.
