Personal Description:

I am a Maths graduate from the University of Leeds with 500+ hours of tuition experience. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Mathematics and an A* in A-level Maths. Throughout my GCSE journey, my peers would ask me for my help, and this was when I realized how enjoyable tutoring was. Not only did I help others significantly improve others' grades, but I had a lot of fun in the process. Since then, I have tutored hundreds of students and I am looking to tutor hundreds more! I am proud to say all of the students I tutored have either achieved or surpassed their target grade.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently employed by a company, who was voted one of the top 3 private tuition companies in West Yorkshire in 2020 Working for them, and as a Teaching Assistant has provided me with expertise on teaching GCSE & A-level Maths - it has also meant that I have a DBS certification for teaching. On top of this, I work for "STEMKids", where I tutor primary school students at after school functions. All of my students have either achieved or surpassed their target grade.

Tutoring Approach:

Having personally achieved a "Grade 9" in the new GCSE Maths curriculum, and an "A*" in the new A-level Maths syllabus, I know what it takes to reach the top marks - I make sure to share the resources which helped exponentiate my knowledge in Maths with my students. Also, I integrate exam questions into every lesson for my students because I believe the best way to learn Maths is to employ an active hands-on approach; to solve Math problems! I have been told my approach to teaching is fun, enjoyable, and easy-to-understand. I take time in the first lesson to grasp the learning style of the student to tailor future lessons to their utmost benefit. When teaching a topic, I make sure I cover every point in the specification, so my students are well-equipped for exam success!
