Personal Description:

I am a Math obsessed Technology Consultant with 15 years of experience in the Technology Consulting and Training domain. Since graduating in 2003 with a degree in Mathematics from the famed University of Waterloo I have worked around the world in blue-chip Multinational companies training engineers, sales professional and customer support representatives.

I have taken a short break from the cut-throat corporate life to spend some time with my family and have taken up tutoring given my longstanding background in Maths and training/teaching.

I am very passionate about Mathematics and the critical role it plays not just in everyday life but as a core subject matter that underpins all science and engineering disciplines. My teaching style is very high energy and motivated and I thrive on making sure my pupils succeed regardless of what their tutoring needs are.

Teaching Experience:

As mentioned before I have 15 years spent training and teaching in the corporate sector including companies like Ericsson and Ernst and Young. I have been recognised and acknowledged over and over again for my excellence in teaching, my effectiveness as a trainer and in getting on tough subjects in a very clear and lucid manner.

During my University years I spent a lot of time in tutoring high school students in Maths and Physics and it was then that I become really passionate about teaching and assisting people in understanding difficult concepts.

Tutoring Approach:

Every student is independent and needs a tailored approach to teaching and tutoring hence my strategy always adapt to the students learning style and needs that is best suited to their learning. I use a lot of visual tools and sketching in my teaching in order to stimulate my students' thinking and crystallise their concepts. I don't believe in giving away answer, instead I believe in prompting my students minds in order to coax and cajole them towards the correct answers and truly build their independent thinking.
