Personal Description:
I am a QTS recognised primary school teacher, with a Degree in Primary Education with Music. I have worked in a number of primary schools and educational projects throughout South Yorkshire, engaging learners in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3.
I have played with many different brass bands and been fortunate to tour the UK, Europe and USA with The Salvation Army brass bands.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for over 20 years as a primary school teacher, with opportunities working on education projects incorporating KS3 students.
I have also taught many brass students for over 20 years from beginners to experienced players with success in ABRSM grades and performances. I incorporate into the lessons music theory, to give my students a good music grounding
Tutoring Approach:
Working with students has been very rewarding and I have thoroughly enjoyed helping them make progress quickly. I always ensure that my lesson are motivating, fun based and closely linked to the national curriculum and I have a proven record in helping all my students pass tests and really enjoy their sessions with me.
