Personal Description:
I am an approachable and warm person with a good sense of humour.I Retrained to be a teacher after a career in Social care and Education Improvement. I work with my students to develop good study skills and knowledge development to help them through a stressful time in their lives.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching A level subjects for 8 years in college, private schools and pupil referral units. I have worked with gifted students and students who struggle with their education due to learning difficulties. I was also a training manager for Manchester Social services for 8 years.
Tutoring Approach:
I develop a good rapport with students. I develop their study skills which are often overlooked by schools and help them understand what is required of them in answering examination questions. I develop subject knowledge through discussion and direct teaching. I assist them to understand the feedback given by their teachers on projects and essays to help them improve their marks.
