Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Jack and I'm a friendly and enthusiastic Psychology graduate. I finished my degree at the University of Exeter this summer having achieved a first class mark, which I am incredibly proud of. I am hoping now to undertake a Masters Degree in Sport Psychology, with the view of becoming a Sport and Exercise Psychologist in the future.
Teaching Experience:
Having tutored during my final year, I would love to continue sharing my knowledge, experience and advice to GCSE, A-Level or University students taking Psychology. Having previously studied Psychology at A-level, I've generated a strong understanding of the course content, layout and exam technique required to excel in the summer exams. Combine this with essay writing skills and effective critical analysis developed at University, I believe I could help any student excel!
Tutoring Approach:
My style of tutoring is predominantly student-centered. I would take time to understand the student's goals and ambitions, allowing them to point me to an area which they would like to improve on or practise. I am a good listener and could tailor any session to the needs of the student, whether that be understanding Asch's classic conformity study, or simply to improve writing style to maximise those marks! As a result, my sessions may include essay writing, exam questions, worksheets or interesting discussions and debates. Depending on the level of your current study, I can also provide advice and tips for studying Psychology at University, which could involve getting to grips with journal articles, report writing and extensive reading.
