Personal Description:

Teaching Experience:

I have taught maths in a secondary school in Nigeria during my national youth service. The school had their best exam result in 1989 when I was their maths teacher. It was quite a daunting task considering the fact that the final year students had no maths teacher. I had to strive to fill the knowledge gaps and get them ready for the exam.

Since 2011, I worked with agencies as a supply teacher. After completing my PGCE in 2017, I have taught at John Colet school in Aylesbury, Bedford College, Campion school in Northampton and Manshead school in Dunstable.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that each child is gifted. This gift is best activated when the child is taught in his prefered learning method. Tutoring achieves this better than a classroom environment. In 2015, I was sent to a school to tutor a year 11 student who has been away from school for months due to illness. After about three months intensive tutoring, the knowledge gaps were filled and he came out with A* in his maths.
