Personal Description:

I am a dedicated, flexible, dynamic teacher, motivator and guide who takes pride in all that I do, may it be personally or professionally. I believe in a 'can do' attitude and therefore aim to support, challenge and inspire all who are in my care.

Teaching Experience:

I am an experienced, qualified secondary school teacher, examiner and private tutor with a Masters degree and 17 years of teaching experience, both in and outside the classroom. I have successfully tutored different age groups and abilities, where all lessons are differentiated and prepared based on each individual need. I have had rewarding experiences of teaching in traditional mainstream schools as well as one to one and in small groups. I am also a chief examiner and moderator for AQA, OCR and Edexcel Pearson, and with up to date knowledge of the new specifications, I have successfully offered the most appropriate to my tutees and their families. I have successfully taught all the Sciences and Maths up to GCSE, Biology up to A2 Level as well as some AS Level Chemistry. Over the last 3 years, I have tutored and currently tutoring entrance exams for primary ages.

Tutoring Approach:

My students see me as a passionate, enthusiastic, positive and caring lady, who is well organised and has high expectations of her students. They see me as someone who makes activities fun and achievable thus ensuring all students' needs are catered for. I am committed to raising my students' confidence and in so doing, raise their ability to achieve in a relaxed, safe environment. I am successful because my students are successful, not just academically, but also in their own personal lives.
