Personal Description:

My name is Wan Ting and I am a Malaysian. I am a 3rd year student who is studying Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) at the University of Nottingham, UK. I am currently based in Nottingham. I believe that education can make a difference and this is why I decided to do part-time tutoring. Contact me if you are interested, I am happy to tell you more!



Teaching Experience:

I taught primary school kids back in Malaysia. I covered most of the subjects for primary students: English, Mandarin, Science and Mathematics. I am currently doing a part-time placement as a teaching associate at Ellis Guilford School, Nottingham. My job is to assist the class teacher in the area of science subjects including Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Even though I am yet to have the experience to teach Mandarin, but I can be considered as a fluent speaker and experienced writer in Mandarin. I have published a Chinese book in 2013.



Tutoring Approach:

I am a friendly and approachable tutor. I have a great patience with the kids. I enjoy teaching and I believe that participation in tutoring is very important so I often involve the students in active learning. I will constantly check up the student's progress and make sure he/she is on track. I am flexible to tailor my teaching to the particular student's needs and I understand everyone has different learning style, so don't worry I will make sure you will be able to catch up.
