Sarah - Swansea tutor
Information About Sarah:
Personal Description:
I am an experienced teacher with a calm and caring approach to tutoring, who believes that unless a pupil is relaxed and happy they will find it difficult to learn.
Teaching Experience:
I am an Honour's Degree teacher with over twenty five years' experience. I have taught in Primary schools in London and Kent before moving back with my family to Wales. I have carried out supply teaching in schools throughout Swansea and am currently working part-time as an assistant in a Specialist Teaching Facility attached to a comprehensive school. I have always had a particular interest in teaching pupils with additional needs and was the Special Needs coordinator in the Infant department of the school I taught in in Kent.
In 2012 I completed the Graduate Certificate in Professional Development, specialising in Dyslexia and recognised by the BDA.
Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are child-centred and are completely tailored to meet each individual pupil's needs. I use a multi-sensory curriculum and aim to make the lessons both interesting and fun. I am an extremely patient person and have worked with children from 4 to 16. I pride myself on quickly getting to know the individuals I am working with and their particular learning styles in order for them to achieve their full potential.
