Personal Description:
Hello,
My name is Amy and I am a student at the University of Southampton studying graduate-entry Medicine. I also have a degree in Biomedical Science. Education has always been a passion of mine, and being able to pass on knowledge and helping others to succeed and reach their goals is something I take pride in being able to be a part of.

Please note, I offer a free initial consultation with the student/parents of the student to cover what you would like to get out of the tutoring sessions, and what exactly I can offer. Consultations can take place online or over the phone. I have found that this is extremely helpful in designing a tutoring plan for students, as every one learns differently.
Teaching Experience:
I have worked with mainly with younger children, and have conducted informal tutoring sessions with several university students, but I am willing to teach anyone who is willing to learn!
Tutoring Approach:
I believe everyone has the right to education, and that knowledge is a powerful thing. I aim to help both understanding and ability to apply their knowledge of the subject, whilst also giving the student an appreciation for that subject.
I usually start with a recap of the last session and a check in for where we/the student are this session. I think it is important to take into account how the student is feeling the tutoring is going in order to teach them most effectively. This is what I like to call my holistic approach to tutoring! Then we I'll go through a selected topic which he student is finding tricky or something they would like to go over in more detail. The session will consist of presentations, practice exam questions, summaries, diagrams, worksheets, puzzles, and even sometimes some work to take-away for the next session!
