Daniela - Bristol tutor

Information About Daniela:

Personal Description:

Hi I'm Daniela, I am in my masters year of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol. I am a very keen engineer (and therefore have put many hours into physics and maths!). I am heavily involved with Engineers Without Borders charity. I am also an ambassador for women in Engineering and give talks in school to promote the subject and encourage students who might be keen to go for it! Outside of work I love ballet, hiking and movie nights with friends.

Teaching Experience:

I tutored A-Level maths weekly in 2016 in a program that brought volunteers to under performing schools in Bristol.
While doing my A-levels I tutored maths to a 9 year old Boy.
I have been into school to promote engineering and have skyped classrooms all over the world about engineering.
I have been through the process fairly recently and have younger sister currently doing GCSE's and A-Levels, therefore a basic understanding of what's needed for school exams.

Tutoring Approach:

I used to find maths hard and having a tutor massively boosted my confidence. I hope to be able to do the same! I would run calm and relaxed sessions and try to work from the bottom up to help make sure students are in a safe space to learn and feel confident in what they are learning.
