Personal Description:
I am a young, hard working and humorous individual. I take pride in helping students to understand and enjoy Maths. I am a qualified scuba diver and when abroad I love to explore the underwater world. I also love quiz and puzzle shows and have been on Channel 4's Countdown.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for 5 years specialised in secondary Maths. I have had varied additional roles too including numeracy across the school, writing the schemes of learning, assessments and data tracking and more recently being the assistant head of faculty for Maths. I work well with students of all abilities and I make sure that students are able to understand what I am teaching them.
Tutoring Approach:
I am an approachable person. I encourage students to ask questions and get involved in dialogue within maths. I feel that it is important to ask questions in order to develop a deeper understanding of Mathematics. I work at a pace suitable to the learner and their needs. I regularly assess the learning that has taken place and can adapt lessons in order for the students to make best progress.
