Personal Description:
A first class honours graduate with a year of teaching experience, I am an articulate, confident and conscientious person who is currently seeking rewarding opportunities for personal tutoring.
My greatest strengths are my communication skills, patience and creativity. My experience in teaching so far has taught me the importance of understanding my student's personal learning styles and tailoring my lessons accordingly in order to reach their targets.
Teaching Experience:
I have created and implemented my own teaching materials for students aged three to seventeen of all abilities. Having worked in a private school I was able to work with students on a one to one basis to target areas of difficulty and devise learning strategies to build confidence and strengthen academic performance.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe it is as equally important to strengthen what my students are good at as well as targeting their areas of weakness. I prefer to use language oriented games and activities that help build my student's knowledge rather than teaching or relaying the same materials they are taught in class.
