Personal Description:

Hi there! I am a trained professional actor and acting tutor who has a strong passion and an expert eye at helping actors reach their potential. Whether you are trying to gain entrance to drama school, if you need help to sharpen your technique for exams or if you simply want to improve your understanding and application of the principles of acting. I can help you achieve that higher grade. Perhaps you are an amateur performer looking to get to the next level or perhaps you want to overcome stage fright? For all of these I can help you achieve this with encouraging and detailed sessions at very competitive rates. I am also a published playwright.

Teaching Experience:

I have trained and graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. I have five years of professional experience in training actors. Previous students have gained entrance to Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, East 15 Acting School and Central School of Speech and Drama to name a few.

I am a qualified further education performing arts lecturer with five teaching observations at OFSTED Grade one level.

I also have over three years experience teaching drama to children of all ages from five up to seventeen.

I have professional experience in teaching the following subjects at A Level and Level 2 (GCSE) level:

Tutoring Approach:

Acting can be a daunting process. Sharing our inner artistic work requires bravery and therefore I always look to create a relaxed and encouraging environment for my students to share their work.

My tutoring ranges from helping a student develop a dramatic piece (Usually a monologue), imparting tools that will enable a better imaginative connection to character (bringing a character to life) and sometimes talking and helping the student to define what good acting is and how best to achieve it.

Whatever your level I will stretch and challenge you as I draw on my wealth of experience to give you the tools to maximise your potential and help you find the love of the craft of acting along the way.
