Personal Description:

I am a retired A level English teacher with over 40 years of experience.

Teaching Experience:

I taught for over 40 years to a very high degree of success. I ran the English department at my school and was innovative in approaching the exam needs of students. I work for a well known firm that specialises in two and three day revision courses and they are always happy to re-employ me. I also do some teaching at adult level. I was an examiner and moderator at A level. My experience is long and wide.

Tutoring Approach:

I have high expectations of my tutees allied to a commonsense awareness of their potential. Over the years I feel able to say that I have often been able to surprise tutees pleasantly when they have achieved more than they had originally thought.
