Personal Description:

I have currently been in my teaching role for four years. I have worked with children from Nursery through to the end of Primary seven.
I studied at Edinburgh University after leaving High school at the end of sixth year with nine highers in a variety of subjects including Maths (A) and English (B). I also have higher qualifications in Biology, Geography, Modern Studies, History, Computing Studies, Art, French and Hospitality.
I am 26 years old and have recently just bought a house in East Lothian.
I am happy to travel as I have a car and I am also happy to work at my own home.
Being a teacher means I am extensively PVG checked and have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to tutoring and teaching.

Teaching Experience:

Primary School Teacher, East Lothian Council, Tranent August 2013 - Present

• The main duties in my role have included: delivering the curriculum to a primary four and seven class, assessing pupils and recording evidence then using this information to plan the next steps in teaching, working alongside other professionals and management for planning and behavior management and nurturing children's health and wellbeing whilst remaining professional at all times.
• I have been in charge of my own professional development and have attended a number of courses and training sessions.
• I have contributed to the wider life of the school by organising and running after school clubs. In my three years teaching at an upper and middle level in primary I have gained a wealth of experience and confidence. I have worked at many levels including my classroom, my school and cluster level and have been a part of cluster numeracy moderation which was invaluable to my own professional development.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very calm and easy going approach to teaching whilst ensuring each child gets what they need out of our sessions. I believe building a relationship with the child is important; they need to be able to trust, respect and like me as an individual.
As I have worked with a variety of children in a variety of settings I feel comfortable working with every child that needs my support.
