Personal Description:
I specialise in tutoring Science at GCSE and A Level Chemistry across AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and WJEC specifications.
I achieved my doctorate from the University of Ulm, Germany and my Master degree in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Delhi (IIT Delhi), India.
Apart from having highest academic qualification in science I have high level of patience and passion for teaching. I am polite and professional. I also work as STEM Ambassador volunteer to encourage science subjects at school and college levels. Passion for Science, love for Teaching profession and guiding students to explore world of science in very simple and interesting way has motivated me to register myself with UKTutors
Teaching Experience:
I have been working as a private tutor since April 2016, specialising in Chemistry A Level, also tutoring all three sciences and maths (foundation) to GCSE. I worked as Science Lecturer at Cardiff and Vale College, Coleg Gwent and as GCSE chemistry teacher at Cardiff Academy. Presently working as Science lecturer at ColegYCymoedd in Nantgarw.
Tutoring Approach:
As a Highly Qualified science tutor my key goal is to provide science tutoring that identifies areas of weakness quickly and unlocks barriers to succeeding in science learning. I start my first lesson with fundamental concepts and then eventually build students understanding and confidence for challenging topics.
At GCSE and A level I focus on exam based tutoring approach. This helps students to build knowledge by improving understanding, and to learn how to think through scientific questions. I encourage them to practise past exam papers and make FLASH cards or Mind maps for difficult topics. These things helps them to revise quickly and efficiently before their exams.
