Personal Description:
I am a qualified teacher with 20 years experience of teaching in London schools. Throughout my career I have taught Chemistry, Physics and Biology to Double Award, Triple Award, GCSE Chemistry, AS/A2 Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I have taught all the major exam boards including AQA, OCR and Edexcel.
I have also taught Maths at both primary, KS3 and GCSE.
This varied experience has helped me to not only develop a variety of teaching techniques and has led me to become an excellent teacher as demonstrated by outstanding lesson observations.

Teaching Experience:
I have produced outstanding results for students from KS3 to KS5. A levels Top 5% results, nationally for A level Physics and top 10% results, nationally for A level Chemistry. This resulted in a record number of students gaining entry into Russell group universities, and last year 3 of my students sat the mcat exam for Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).
Results for KS4 double entry were 97% A*-C with 8 students over achieving and gaining A grades. Mixed triple science class achieved 90% A*-C.
KS3 results for year 9 top set and bottom sets were in excess of 75% achieving 2 sub levels of progress or more over the course of the academic year, which meant that students with a KS3 grade of 3 would be studying for triple science.
Tutoring Approach:
I strongly believe in developing pupils as independent thinkers who are learning motivated. The recent changes to the national curriculum have given us an opportunity to develop cognitive learning through practical activity. This approach provides challenge and focus as well as creating a love of science.
I create an environment that is safe from physical and emotional harm promoting respect for all people. This allows all pupils to be confident and interact in a meaningful and intellectual manner, within the classroom. I believe all children have a right to an education tailored towards their individual abilities, and circumstance, enabling them to achieve to their full potential.
I identify areas of weakness using a personalised learning checklist and I am committed to using a wide range of strategies to raise achievement and ensure that all pupils reach their full potential. I continually assess and monitor the progress of students work and provide regular and meaningful feedback to students about their progress.
I produce resources based on past exam questions building student confidence and exam skills and guarantee all students succeed and pass.
I tutor one to one from my home and also offer Skype tuition which is fully interactive.
