Information About Abigail:
Personal Description:
I am a qualified chemistry teacher, but have worked as a biology teacher as well and teach both to A-level, as well as some physics to GCSE level and some Maths.
My degree is in biochemistry.
I have lived and worked in Liverpool and Glasgow and now am the head of science in a school in suffolk, but live in Essex.
Teaching Experience:
I have been a science teacher for 6 years, specialising in Chemistry and Biology. I have tutored for the same amount of time.
I taught for one year in liverpool and 5 years in Falkirk, where I have taught all ages 11-18
I am now the head of science in a school in suffolk.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to see how the pupils are getting on and build on what they are studying at school at the moment. I can provide questions and extra books when required. I will help with developing their ability to revise and can suggest different methods for work for them.
With one to one tuition the tutee can feel more confident to ask questions and we can spend more time on topics they don't understand.
I am very keen to build a tutees confidence as this has a big impact on them.
