Personal Description:

Mathematics specialist tutor, 1st Class Hons and Masters degree from UCL. I have 10 years tutoring experience with students across the age and ability spectrum. I am a supportive and experienced mathematics tutor with excellent communication skills, familiar with the areas of mathematics generally found to be most complex and challenging, and able to communicate them in an understandable manner. Keen to help prepare for all levels from primary school up to GSCE, A-Level exams.

Teaching Experience:

I have extensive highly successful tuition experience having tutored over 60 students over 10 years and I am happy to provide references. I am proud to say that my students reach their personal targets, all the way from A* grades, to entry into prestigious UK universities (including Oxford and Cambridge) and some have been so inspired they decided to take maths at degree level! I have also built up a vast amount of teaching resources for all levels and I cover every syllabus.

Tutoring Approach:

Whether its finding a creative method to boost the confidence of a Key Stage 1 child or preparing for A Level maths (or further), I can be of help. Every student is different and responds to different tuition styles. I have great interpersonal skills and therefore lots of success at getting the best out of my students.
I create an environment where the student is relaxed and confident and see my tuition as part of an overall support structure with a parent and school. As such I have constant dialogue with parents to ensure we’re on track. I also set work to be completed outside of sessions to reinforce what we have covered.
As well as covering all theory, we would work on many examples and exam technique. I ensure competency and confidence before moving from one topic to the next. I tutor from my spacious office with white boards and full tutoring facilities.
