Personal Description:
I am a fully qualified Music Tutor with a B.A. in Music Education from the RSAMD and a Dip.ABRSM in Piano Teaching.
I offer one to one lessons in Piano, Violin, Singing, Keyboard, Viola and Music Theory as well as fully understanding the new National 4/5 and Higher qualifications and I can provide tutoring for both the practical and listening elements of these.
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for over 12 years now, and have provided private instrumental lessons in the North Lanarkshire area for 10 years. I have over 60 pupils currently, and frequently put students through both SQA and ABRSM exams with an exceptionally high pass rate.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to Tutoring is student-led, and I will devise and implement individual learning plans to suit each pupil. Usually this will include a goal of passing an exam, but the goal we work to could be a concert, a music festival, a particular piece you would like to be able to play or just wanting to improve in a certain aspect of technique.
