- Seminars: "Language & Culture"; "One to one tuitions" - International House, London (2010).

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to teaching is based on 4 pillars: passion; patience; careful planning; consideration of learner's needs & motivation.

I am extremely passionate about Italy, its culture and its tradition and I am enthusiastic about providing lovers of Italy with new opportunities to discover this incredibly diverse country through its language.

I regard PATIENCE in understanding and respecting students' individual pace, abilities and inclinations as a mile stone for my profession.

Teaching is not something you can improvise.
Being a good foreign language teacher requires familiarity with specific didactic theories and tecniques, as well as long experience.
It also requires thorough, time demanding PLANNING. No matter how many years I have been teaching Italian, I always prepare my SCHEME OF WORK to plan a term, as well as my LESSON PLAN to structure every session.
This also means selecting the best/most engaging teaching MATERIAL and NOT relying (simply) upon a text book.

As a teacher, I always consider the learner's NEEDS as my primary objective.
In particular:
- I listen to my students and calibrate my approach according to their personality;
- I identify and realise the potentials of individuals' abilities;
- I continuously learn from learners;
- I show them how to improve their lesser strenghts.

My classes greatly emphasise speaking & listening skills (tecnically called COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH), and are taught in a friendly, fun and relaxed atmosphere designed to enhance learning.
