Personal Description:

I am a very friendly, calm and approachable person and use varied styles when teaching to get the very best from all students. My aim is to make the concept being learnt understood. It makes it much easier for the students then to apply the learning in given situations.
I am experienced at teaching primary or secondary maths curriculum and have track record of outstanding achievement by all students tuitioned.



Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for over 30 years. I have been head of maths and senior advisor for raising achievement in maths. I have full knowledge of primary and secondary maths curriculum and keep up to date with the new changes coming up.



Tutoring Approach:

I assess the student informally by using varied activities first to identify the weak areas that need to be covered. I then use variety of methods to teach the work. I feel that it's important that student understands the concept being learnt before applying it. Ongoing recap is revised each session very informally to boost confidence and self-esteem.
The use of mini whiteboard is integral part of my teaching.
