Personal Description:

Are you looking for a German or French tutor in the Peak District area?

I am a qualified and highly experienced German and French teacher with many years of teaching in a variety of educational settings. As well as teaching, I have been employed as a GCSE examiner for speaking, listening, reading and writing exams since 2003, including several years as a Senior Examiner.

I have taught French and German at both primary and secondary level. I have also tutored adults and GCSE students individually in the UK.

I have taught English as a second language in schools in Scotland, Germany and Japan and to adults in Germany and Japan.

I taught German for almost 4 years at the Goethe-Institut in New Zealand - adult classes, individual tuition and intensive language training. I am a qualified examiner for Goethe-Institut German exams. I am currently teaching French and German to GCSE level.

I have taught German for practically every purpose you could think of - from 3 year old children, to primary school groups, to children at KS3 through to GCSE and A-Level, language courses at university and adults learning German for a myriad of reasons - to communicate with partners, to improve job prospects and to study in Germany, Austria or Switzerland or for intensive pre-posting language training for diplomats.

German language tutor Victoria University of Wellington, 100 and 200 level.

I offer a professional, highly individualised programme to work at your pace and to suit your requirements, whilst making language learning an enjoyable experience. I am always prepared to tailor your classes to suit what and how you want to learn. I am a patient and caring teacher, and able to appreciate fully that language learning may not come naturally to you.
