Personal Description:
I am a native Russian speaker with an MA Degree in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language from the Peoples' Friendship University in Moscow.
I am also a qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language (CELTA).
Teaching Experience:
I have 3 years' experience in teaching Russian at Edinburgh University. I also taught adult classes at the Berlitz School of Languages, Edinburgh Language Centre and Broughton High School in Edinburgh.
I worked for International House in Moscow as an EFL teacher for three years teaching General and Business English at all levels from Beginners to Advanced.
Tutoring Approach:
I use the modern communicative method which is based on the practical approach to teaching languages with the main focus on communication rather than grammar. I believe that learning a foreign language doesn't have to be a chore so I try to make sure that students enjoy their classes. My approach is very flexible and I can easily adapt the lessons to the student's needs. So it's up to you what you want to learn and how you would like to go about it.
