Information About Julie:
Personal Description:
Science tutor - Physics, Chemistry and Biology - Widnes, Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington and Runcorn
I am very passionate about science and in particular, Chemistry and Biology. I hold a degree with honours in Biochemistry and also a graduate diploma in Chemistry. I am undertaking a PGCE in Science from September which will enable me to teach at secondary school.
Teaching Experience:
I have a wealth of experience in teaching years 9-12 through my work at Liverpool John Moores university as a Student Advocate. My role is to deliver subject based taster sessions for up to 40 students which requires me to provide various engaging activities. I have tutored various students as part of the Wirral mentoring programme during my degree and postgraduate study and the feedback I have received has been extremely positive. Being a mother to a current GCSE student I have successfully developed a learning approach to enable her to confidently apply her subject knowledge during her exams. I pride myself on having a good sense of humour which I believe is essential to enjoying the subject of science.
