Personal Description:

I am a self-employed freelance tutor with over 5 years experience of working with clients. I have previously worked in the higher education sector for 10 years in lecturer, researcher and tutor roles. Due to family commitments I work on a part-time basis and enjoy private tutoring as it is rewarding to see progression, confidence and attainment amongst my student clients.



Teaching Experience:

I have taught and prepared undergraduate and postgraduate courses at a number of British Universities. I have also worked as a distance learning tutor for an EdExcel HND course on Health and Social Care for a private college in the UK. I am experienced at marking and moderation, as well as editing, proof-reading, qualitative/ quantitative research methods, statistical analysis and report development.



Tutoring Approach:

I am willing to accept clients who seek one to one tuition. I can assist with exam preparation, coursework and dissertation projects. I also accept proof-reading and academic editing work, as well as assistance with University and employment applications. I am happy for clients to visit me in person by prior appointment, although telephone and online (email/ Skype) is usually more convenient and flexible. It is important that clients make contact in advance of our time together to outline their educational needs and, where appropriate, provide samples of existing work. This helps me to prepare our sessions constructively and to meet requirements.
